In this book, Dr. Charles Tart, Ph.D., explores a sound scientific basis to investigating spiritual and paranormal experiences.
Tart is one of the founders of transpersonal psychology, that branch that explores spirituality and “paranormal” experiences, and attempts to apply the scientific process to validate and verify.
He sets the foundation by separating “essential science,” the pure scientific process, from “scientism,” which tries to reduce the science to a bias that is materialistic and arrogant.
